I've been killed in combat (not hacking) by nova knives exactly once. What the hell are you doing wrong? |

Again. I've died exactly once in combat. SVER Logi suit, hell of a lot less endurance, HP, and offensive capabilities than you have.
Obviously you're doing something wrong, or am I just that much better at not getting stabbed? |

So what do you suggest? They have to hit you twice with their proto weapon? |

They have to hit you twice with their proto weapon? i suggest they lower the damage on them arent they supposed to be secondary weapons? yet people are running around like theyer primary weapons 1 hit killing people and even if its proto they dont even have the price to match the power they only cost 12,975 isk
So yes you're saying that they should take too hits to kill you, which means that have to stand at close range, charge and hit you twice, all while having minimal HP. It would render them completely useless.
Also a secondary? No, not really. No one in their right mind will go "Oh hey, my AR ran out of bullets, instead of reloading let me whip out these knives and run straight at the guy who's shooting me." Just because it's classified as a sidearm doesn't mean its meant as a secondary weapon. |

Let me ask you this, how many games have you played with the knives? My guess is none, at least not using then as a main weapon. So do you really have any right to comment on how easy it is to get kills when you yourself have never used the weapon?
I challenge you to spend a little SP and get the basic knives, just the Standard. Put them on a dragonfly scout, fit it however you like, and then try to get a clean hit on someone. You dont even need to kill them, just hit them with a full charge on both knives. And no stabbing someone who is hacking or standing still doesnt count. Let us know how many times you die before landing a clean hit. Or perhaps you dont want to risk tarnishing that precious kdr?

*raises hand* I actually switch to my knives after i use the AR to solely close the distance. The AR is extremely useful in this regard. Hell, I often forget to reload. I can only imagine their faces when some lil scout rushes them with an AR and finishes them off with a knife leap. When it works it's glorious!

Of COURSE it's freaking deadly. There would be no reason to use it if it weren't.
Doesn't matter, people will cry about 1-hit kills no matter how difficult it is to meet the needed conditions to pull the kill off. Its the same people what complain they get 1-shot killed at 5m because of a shotgun and cry that it's too strong. Engage the enemy within the range/situation where they're weapon is best suited, and you're going to get wrecked, simple as that. |
